Recently, it seems that not only apartments but also
detached houses are getting less and less likely to
put up nameplates. Everyone has become stupid.
There have been reports that a group of criminals
who plan crimes while watching high-end residential
areas on Street View have been humbled, and it seems
that many people are requesting that their home name-
plates not be displayed on Street Ｖiew, or removing
nameplates that have been up for many years, which is
deplorable.
In addition, there have been kidnappings using nameplate
information, and fraudulent sales scams in which people
pretend to be employees of government offices, water-
works, electric power companies, gas companies, etc., so
it is of course better to be careful, but it is also stupid to
choose not to put up your nameplate right away.
The most dangerous thing is to listen to the scammers
who keep telling you to "remove your nameplate, remove
it" on this bulletin board and other places. There is always
some ulterior motive behind their persistent words.
